Organizer: Bitvavo B.V., Keizersgracht 281, 1016 ED Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Bitvavo B.V. is licensed by the Dutch Authority for Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiële Markten, AFM) as a crypto-asset service provider under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (MiCA).

1. General

These terms (the “Terms”) apply to the “Bitvavo Friend Referral Program” (the “Promotion”) organized by Bitvavo B.V. (“Bitvavo”). The Terms apply in addition to Annex 2 (Referral Program) of Bitvavo’s User Agreement.  

Participation in this Promotion constitutes your express acceptance of these Terms. Participants must meet the participation requirements set out in paragraph 3 of these Terms. Bitvavo reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not comply. All decisions made by Bitvavo regarding eligibility or participation are final and not subject to appeal.

2. Promotion Period

The Promotion will run from 00:00 (CET) on December 8, 2025, and will remain in effect for an indefinite period, unless and until terminated or amended by Bitvavo at its sole discretion. (the “Promotion Period”).

3. Participation Requirements

Referring user (“Referrer”) Requirements:

• Are 18 years or older;

• Must have an active Bitvavo account, and have completed identity and bank account verification; 

• Does not qualify as an ineligible participant as set out in this Terms; and

• Must have shared their unique referral code with the new user, which can be accessed by the Referrer via the Friend Referral section on the Bitvavo app and web platform.
  Note: the unique referral code can be shared via a unique sign-up link, QR code, or as text to a new user to be used during the sign-up process. 

New User Requirements

• Must reside in a country where the Bitvavo platform is available;

• Must sign up for a Bitvavo-account using the friend referral code provided by the Referrer (e.g. via their unique link) during the Promotion Period;

• New users must successfully complete identity verification and complete the actions mentioned in their Bitvavo account after logging in to the Bitvavo app to receive their reward.

These actions may include making a minimum deposit or trading a minimum amount within 7 days after registration. 

Once the requirements specified in the Bitvavo app are met by the new user, both the Referrer and the new user will receive their reward. New users are eligible to receive only one reward at sign-up.

Ineligible Participants

The following are not eligible:

• Institutional clients and those providing market-making or similar services;

• Bitvavo employees, affiliates, and immediate family members;

• Any participant who has violated Bitvavo’s terms and conditions or attempted manipulation of the Promotion.

4. Reward & Payout

• The reward for the Referrer may vary during the Promotional Period. Visit the Friend Referral section in your Bitvavo-account to view the current reward offered by Bitvavo.

• The reward for the new user may vary during each Promotional Period. The reward shows up during the sign up process when using the referral code. After signing up for a Bitvavo-account, new users can view the reward they are eligible for and the requirements by logging into their account and visiting the active promotions section.

• Both the Referring user and the new user will be notified of any credited rewards in the Bitvavo-app and via email or push notification.

• Each new user can only participate once and receive one reward at sign-up. Upon becoming a Bitvavo user, each user meeting the referrer requirements as set out in these Terms may become a Referrer.

• Once the reward is credited, an amount equivalent to the bonus must not be withdrawn (in crypto or any fiat currency) from either the Referrer's account or the new user's account for a minimum of 180 days.

• The Referrer may refer up to the maximum number of friends specified within the Friend Referral section in your Bitvavo-account. Referral limits are subject to change. 

• Bitvavo reserves the right to delay, decline, or revoke rewards at its sole discretion if there are indications of fraud, abuse, or a violation of these Terms or the Bitvavo User Agreement.

• The Friend Referral Program is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. By participating, Referrer confirms that they have obtained the necessary consent from their invitee before sending them any referral-related communication (e.g., text, email, or other forms of contact) regarding this promotion.

• This is not an offer or solicitation in any jurisdiction where we are not authorized to do business.

5. Exclusion from the Promotion

Bitvavo reserves the right to exclude or disqualify participants who:

• Tamper with the promotion process;

• Provide false or misleading information;

• Violate these Terms or any terms of the Bitvavo User Agreement;

• Attempt to gain an unfair advantage (e.g., by using multiple accounts or coordinating referrals).

Bitvavo may also disqualify entries for technical reasons, including invalid email addresses or other misuse of the Promotion.

6. Limitation of Liability

Bitvavo accepts no liability for:

• any technical failures, interruptions, or disruptions;

• any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation;

• any suspension or cancellation of the Promotion.

7. Taxes

Participants are solely responsible for any personal tax obligations related to the rewards. Please consult a tax advisor if in doubt.

1. General

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to the “Bitvavo Friend referral draw February 2026” (the “Promotion”), a temporary promotion organised by Bitvavo B.V. (“Bitvavo”). This Promotion is organised to promote the Friend Referral program for our users in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in February 2026. By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our User Agreement. We only process your personal data to the extent necessary for the performance of this Promotion. Please read more on privacy in our Privacy Policy. By participating you provide consent that we use your personal data to the extent necessary for the performance of this Promotion.

Participation in the Promotion constitutes your express acceptance of these Terms and our User Agreement. Participants must meet all eligibility criteria set out herein. Bitvavo reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not comply with our User Agreement. All decisions on eligibility are made by Bitvavo. At the same time you can always file a complaint in line with our Complaints Procedure, in writing to [email protected], or by any other means described in Bitvavo's Help Center.

Bitvavo acts in line with the Code of Conduct on Promotional Games of Chances.

2. Promotion Period

The Promotion will run from 00:00 (CET) on February 9, 2026 until 23:59 (CET) on February 28, 2026.

3. Eligibility Requirements

This Promotion is open to individuals who:

• Are 18 years or older at the time of signing up;
• Have a Bitvavo account, and have completed identity and bank account verification before the end of the Promotion Period;
• Must reside in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

Users can earn entries into the draw by referring friends:

• Each successful referral earns the referring user one (1) entry in the draw;
• Successful referrals are those that meet all the New User Requirements as specified in section “3. Participation Requirements” of the Terms and Conditions Bitvavo Friend Referral Program;
• Entries are limited to a maximum of 10 entries per participant.

4. Prize Details

• Total prize pool is €4,000 in Ethereum (ETH)  spread over 10 winners. 
• The 10 randomly selected winners will each receive €400 in ETH.
• Prizes are awarded in a single draw, using an impartial method that results in a randomised ranking of all individual eligible entries, the top ten (10) of which will be awarded the prizes.
• The draw will take place on March 4, 2026, the result of the prize draw will be announced to the winners between March 4, 2026 and March 6, 2026
• The winners will be awarded their prize before 17.00 CET March 6, 2026
• Exclusion of claims: Fulfilment of the eligibility requirements only means that the user is entitled to participate in the Promotion. Users are not entitled to receive any of the prizes offered for the sole reason of fulfilling the eligibility requirements.

5. Winner Notification & Payout

• Winners will be notified via email and the Bitvavo app.
• Rewards will be credited directly to the winners' Bitvavo accounts.
• No alternative rewards or cash equivalents are available.

6. Exclusion & Disqualification

Bitvavo may exclude participants who:

• Tamper with the process of the Promotion;
• Submit false or misleading information;
• Violate these or any of Bitvavo’s User Agreement;
• Attempt to gain an unfair advantage (e.g., through multiple accounts or collusion).

Bitvavo may also disqualify entries for technical reasons, including invalid email addresses or social media account misuse.

Institutional clients and those providing market-making or similar services and Bitvavo employees, affiliates, and immediate family members may at no time participate in the Promotion.

7. Liability

Bitvavo accepts no liability for:

• Any technical failures, interruptions, or disruptions;
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation;
• Any suspension or cancellation of the Promotion due to force majeure or other unforeseen circumstances.

8. Data Protection & Taxation

• Participant data will be processed in accordance with the Bitvavo Privacy Policy.
• Participants are responsible for possible personal tax implications, including reporting obligations, related to rewards. Consult a tax advisor if in doubt.
