About Diamond Pigs
With Diamond Pigs, you can trade fully automatically. This is based on SYNAPSEā¢ (Scalable Yield Network of Adaptive Performance Seeking Engines) bot trading algorithms, which are integrated with Bitvavo. The strategies can be divided into two categories:
- Active strategies: these types of strategies offer protection by automatically selling coins when the market sentiment becomes negative and theyāre staying in euros when there are no good buying opportunities. Active strategies typically execute a few trades per week.
- Passive strategies: this is an index strategy that will initiate trades as a result of (monthly) rebalancing, it does not offer protection and will not exit crypto.
As a Diamond Pigs customer, you choose the investment strategy that fits you best. Once activated, all strategies operate fully automatically. Diamond Pigs SYNAPSEā¢ bots determine for each coin the optimal purchase and sell moment. The trades are then copied into your Bitvavo wallet. All strategies buy and sell depending on market sentiment. This way, Diamond Pigs aims to offer protection against downturns, while taking advantage of uptrends.

Duroc - Smart Crypto Selection
Duroc monitors all coins in the Bitvavo portfolio. Duroc is programmed to hold positions when the market is indecisive during sideways periods and to take profit after significant gains. Select Duroc if you want your wallet to consist of a broadly diversified portfolio. You'll benefit from price movements within the entire crypto market.
Pennywell - Green Crypto Selection
An active environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy focused on environmentally friendly coins. Pennywell is programmed to hold positions when the market is indecisive during sideways periods and to take profit after significant gains. Pennywell might be interesting if you want to invest sustainably and responsibly.
Hereford - Bitcoin Protection
Hereford is an active strategy combining both swing and market sentiment trading methods. It trades only in BTC and buys when the sentiment is positive and sells when the market goes down. Itās the strategy of choice for Bitcoin maximalists.
Berkshire - Top 10 Crypto Index
This is an index strategy consisting of the ten largest and most liquid crypto assets based on market capitalization. There is a monthly rebalance. The strategy does not offer protection against market dips and price drops but spreads the risk by diversifying.
How do you use Diamond Pigs?
Using Diamond Pigs is easy. If you like, you can start in Play Mode with fictional amounts to try out various strategies. Feel confident with the platform? Then connect your Bitvavo wallet via the API. Starters can use Diamond Pigs completely for free. If your wallet balance is higher than ā¬200 the active strategies (Duroc, Pennywell, and Hereford) charge a fixed fee of 0.167% per month and 15% of the gains (based on a high watermark, so only for real profits). The cost of using a passive strategy (Berkshire) is 0,25% per month.
