Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract parachain (a custom, project-specific blockchain) on Polkadot. It is a specialised Layer 1 chain that mirrors Ethereum’s Web3 native communication protocol, accounts, keys, subscriptions, logs, and more.
