*Pending approval by ACM

The Dutch crypto broker LiteBit announced in a press release today that it intends to terminate its activities as a result of various market developments, increased competition and mounting regulatory pressure.

Bitvavo verwelkomt overstappers LiteBit*

LiteBit customers will be offered the option to easily transfer their digital assets for free to Bitvavo. The potential transfer from LiteBit customers to Bitvavo has already been submitted to the relevant authorities and will be assessed by the ACM in the near future. After this, customers will be actively informed and fully supported during the (possible) transfer process.

Arthur van Lier, COO of LiteBit, comments: ā€œAfter careful consideration of all options, LiteBit has decided to end its activities and offer all customers the option to switch to Bitvavo, the largest and most valued crypto exchange of The Netherlands. Bitvavo offers a user-friendly platform, low transaction costs, solid exchange functionality and business operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.ā€

Mark Nuvelstijn, CEO of Bitvavo: ā€œWelcoming LiteBit customers fits into Bitvavo's growth strategy, similar to how we have welcomed Bitzeb and Bitqist customers in the past, on our path to European market leadership.ā€

Bitvavo takes over customer base

Bitvavo wants to take over the clientbase of LiteBit. The ACM has published this request. After approval by the ACM, LiteBit customers will have the option to easily transfer their digital assets and credits for free to Bitvavo, so that they do not have to sell their digital assets.

Switching to Bitvavo is easy

After approval by the ACM, LiteBit customers will receive information on how they can easily transfer their digital assets and credits to Bitvavo. The processes for this have already been prepared and set up in collaboration with LiteBit to allow LiteBit customers to easily switch pending ACM approval.

Of course, Bitvavo hopes to welcome as many new LiteBit customers as possible. This is in addition to the already more than 1 million users and the continuous new influx of customers on our crypto exchange.
